Happy Sunday! Thanks for checking out the online resources for this Sunday. Here you will find a video lesson as well as some activities to do as a family.

Elementary
Determination: deciding it's worth it to finish what you started.
Key Truth: God gives you what you need to keep going!

Memory Verse: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9)
1. Watch the video https://vimeo.com/showcase/7146783. Select Elementary or 4th-5th can watch the Preteen video.
2. Read the story from the Bible: Acts 6:1-7:60 the story of Stephen. Discussion Questions -
Who was Stephen? (a leader in the church who got in trouble for talking about Jesus) What did Stephen do when he was in front of the religious leaders? (He talked about howJesus was the Savior God had promised.) How did the religious leaders respond to Stephen’s message? (They became angry and decided to throw stones at him.) What did Stephen do right before he died? (He asked God to forgive the leaders for what they were doing.) Stephen trusted that God knew the end of the story. How can we trust God when we face something hard? What can we do to find the determination to keep going, even when we don’t know what will happen next?
3. Lesson Activity: Stephen shares stories from Israel's history. The whole Bible is filled with stories that lead us to Jesus. Think of Bible stories you know and use play-doh or crayons to make/draw some of the characters and items you can think of.
4. Use this prayer as a guide:
“Dear God, You are so awesome and amazing! You know everything—and that is SO cool! We know that we can trust You no matter what, because You know the end of the story. Please help us to remember that when we face difficult situations in life. We love You, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

1. Watch the video on the link above. https://vimeo.com/showcase/7146783. Select Preschool.
2. Activity: Trace your child's hand on green construction paper and cut it out. Color the paper plate blue. Glue the paper hand to the center of the plate. Draw a heart in the middle of their hand cutout. Say, "In our story, we learned that God loves me and you, and everyone in the whole wide world! God loves the world so much that He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever. Who loves you? God loves me."
3. Bible Story: John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
3. Pray together: "Dear God, thank You for loving us SO much that you sent Jesus to be our friend forever. Help us to show that love to others this week. We love You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen."
